Three varied courses and an additional track for children can be cycled as often as wished over a period of 12 hours. We will measure the kilometres and positive ascent metres of every rider and make the data available to them.

At an altitude of 1,500 m on a sun-drenched plateau high above the Rhone valley, the neighbouring villages of Crans and Montana form a fantastic backdrop to the route, which is surrounded by an impressive line-up of peaks, from the Matterhorn to Mont Blanc.

Following major landslides, the «mountain tracks» had to be changed for the 2018 edition. The length and the positive ascent meters for the 2 tracks have thus changed.

  • For top athletes and cycling enthusiasts, there is a 15,5-kilometre route (514 ascent metres) from Montana towards the valley and then all the way up into the mountains with wonderful panoramic views over the Alps.
  • Occasional riders can choose a shorter route. It is 9 kilometres long (300 ascent metres).
  • The new secured family track in the heart of Crans-Montana (4.5 kilometres and 80 ascent metres) is suitable for riders of all ages and all levels.
  • There is also a secure children’s route that leads 1.5 kilometres around the lakes to the centre of Crans-Montana with almost no elevation.

The mountain tracks (15,5 resp. 9 kilometres) are official routes of the event series «Ride the Alps».

On the 15,5-kilometre track, time-taking is in place (only uphill). Results are displayed real-time on screens in the village and can be downloaded online after the event.
